Marta Badoni
For many years now I have known Giovanni Foresti and his love of institutional work, his extensive knowledge that goes far beyond the psychoanalytic sphere and his vitality that imbues everything he does. I have worked with him on the National Executive Board/Committee of SPI , where he was Scientific Secretary, and also in preparatory work for the second National Conference on Child and Adolescent Psychoanalysis. Neither was an easy task: each involved entering the work process after the initial stages; both were complex; and more particularly, at the National Conference on Child and Adolescent Psychoanalysis, work was required related to the history of theories on the nature of interpretation, which took into account both basic theories and the target of the conference, which was directed precisely at child/adolescent specialists. While working together, what I appreciated was Giovanni’s accuracy, power and clarity of communication, consistency and conscientiousness.
